Background
Pursuant to decision 4/CP. 25, Annex II, the forum on the impacts of the implementation of response measures is mandated to convene the in-session workshop on workplan activity 9 at SB 56 in Bonn.
The workshop will focus on activity 9 of the workplan – identify and assess the impacts of the implementation of response measures taking into account intergenerational equity, gender considerations and the needs of local communities, indigenous peoples, youth and other people in vulnerable situations.
The workshop will be held under the guidance of the Chairs of the SBSTA and the SBI and convene Parties, observers, experts and other interested stakeholders.
The workshop will first invite the KCI to present its work on activity 9. It will also engage experts and representatives from relevant observer constituencies and constitutional bodies in providing their inputs on identifying and assessing the impacts of the response measures. Based on the inputs, Parties will reflect their views during the section of interactive discussion, including sharing their national experience and best practice.
The workshop is open to Parties and observers registered for the 56th sessions of the subsidiary bodies.
