2. Strategic aim of the TFD for 2021

Discussion on ways to tie in emerging results from the implementation of the current PoA into the reporting of the ExCom to the Parties, and to broader stakeholders. The collation of updates on the status of the PoA activities, provided by leads/co-leads prior to the meeting, will serve as a basis for the discussion.

Expected output: A preliminary list of results and recommendations, if any, to the WIM ExCom for further communication to Parties, and an initial idea for broader stakeholder outreach/engagements, if applicable.

3. TFD’s deliverables of the PoA

Discussion on collaborative outputs to be released as the TFD products this year based on the current PoA, including the e-training module on climate change, human rights and human mobility.

Expected output: Any proposed output(s) and associated plans for co-production.

4. Development of technical guides

Information on the development of technical guides has been provided by the WIM ExCom. The guides are collaborative products of the expert group with inputs from other expert groups of the WIM ExCom as necessary.

Expected output: Proposed topic(s) with annotations, or an approach to arrive at topics, to be presented to the ExCom for endorsement.

*The NELs expert group of the WIM ExCom will develop a guide touching upon climate change/human mobility nexus from the perspective of non-economic losses. The TFD may wish to consider the development of technical guides in addition the NELs guide to complement the subject matter.

Background: Decision 2/CMA.2 paragraph 26, mandate of the technical guides; and the ExCom’s information on production of the technical guides by the expert groups.
