Executive Committee members |
The Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage guides the implementation of the functions of the Mechanism.
The current rolling workplan of the Executive Committee was endorsed by Parties at COP 23 (November 2017). The Executive Committee implements its workplan through coordination and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Five thematic expert groups play a major role in carrying out the activities of the Executive Committee's workplan:
- Expert group on slow onset events;
- Expert group on non-economic losses;
- Technical Expert Group on Comprehensive Risk Management;
- Task Force on Displacement;
- Expert group on action and support.

The Executive Committee comprises twenty members from Parties to the Convention. It meets at least twice a year in a setting open to observers. Parties provide guidance to the Executive Committee once a year.
