COP 25 outcomes: The COP requested the Subsidiary Body for Implementation, at its fifty-second session (June 2020), to continue to review and revise the terms of reference of the Consultative Group of Experts. SBI 51 outcomes: The SBI noted the annual progress report on the work of the Consultative Group of Experts (CGE) and the documents capturing the outcomes of key activities of the CGE in 2019. |

Report of SBI 50 - Paragraphs 22 – 23. The SBI initiated its review and revision of the terms of reference of the CGE. However, the SBI did not conclude this work owing to the limited time available at the session and agreed to continue its work at SBI 51. The SBI requested its Chair, with the assistance of any co-facilitators that may be assigned to this matter, to convene an informal discussion during SBI 51 to promote a better understanding of Parties’ views and positions on this matter. |
