CGE Webinar series
The CGE has launched its 2021 webinar series on synergies at national level in data collection for climate reporting under the Convention and the Paris Agreement and monitoring of other international instruments such as sustainable development goals (SDGs) and Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR); and on embedding climate reporting in national statistics.
With a view to facilitating developing countries enhance their national MRV systems in a manner that taps into opportunities to synergize data collection activities and promote the optimal use of the existing resources and capacity at a national level, the webinar will provide an overview of:
- Sustainable institutional arrangements for climate reporting;
- Potential synergies in data collection at a national level for reporting under different mechanisms;
- Experiences from countries in integrating SDG monitoring into the national MRV system and in embedding climate reporting in national statistics.
