Purpose of the webinar
According to Decision 17/CP.22 the secretariat is to continue facilitating a regular exchange of views, good practices and lessons learned among ACE National Focal Points.
The capacity-building of ACE National Focal Points, as well as the sharing of good practices is fundamental in fostering and underpinning their work, and thus, their effectiveness in accelerating meaningful climate action within their countries. The webinars provided a platform for National Focal Points to build and strengthen existing skills and capacities, as well as to share good practices and generate new ideas.
In this context, the secretariat hosted three regional webinars in June and July 2017 for the regions of Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
In particular, the webinars focused on the implementation of The Action for Climate Empowerment: Guidelines for accelerating solutions through education, training and public awarenesswhich are intended to facilitate the work of National Focal Points to implement ACE activities in their countries.
