Second multilateral assessment process European Union   
 

The second multilateral assessment (MA) of the European Union took place under the SBI 45 in Marrakech, on 12 November 2016. The aim of this session was to assess the European Union's progress in implementation towards the achievement of emission reductions and removals related to its quantified economy-wide emission reduction targets.

The WGS is preceded by a three-month period of questions and answers in the lead-up to the SBI session.

A compilation of questions to the European Union was published on 1 September 2016 and was replaced with a full compilation of question and answers on 29 October 2016.
