Working papers
The workshop is organized in response to the request made by the Conference of the Parties (COP), at its
ninth session ( decision 1/CP.9)
The objective of the workshop is to address problems encountered by Annex I Parties in preparing their
national communications. This objective is to be achieved through the exchange of views among the technical
experts on the comparability and transparency of the information reported in the national communications.
No working papers are prepared for the workshop. Instead, the participants are invited to review the
background papers placed in the relevant sections of the workshop WEB page. They are also invited to review
the presentations prepared by Parties and by the UNFCCC secretariat to be placed in the relevant sections
of the workshop WEB page as they become available.
