|
At SBSTA 37 (FCCC/SBSTA/2012/5 see para 50), the SBSTA requested the secretariat to organize a workshop, subject to the availability of financial resources, to be held by SBSTA 39, to consider information on the technical and scientific aspects of ecosystems with high - carbon reservoirs not covered by other agenda items under the Convention, such as coastal marine ecosystems, in the context of wider mitigation and adaptation efforts. SBSTA 38 recalled its conclusions regarding the organization of that workshop and took note of the views of Parties on the content of the workshop and requested the secretariat, in organizing that workshop, under the guidance of the Chair of the SBSTA, to take these views into account. It further requested the secretariat to prepare a report on the workshop, to be made available before SBSTA 40 (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/3, paragraph 70). |
