The Standing Committee on Finance was mandated by the Conference of the Parties (COP) at its 17th session
to organize a Forum for the communication and continued exchange of information among bodies and entities
dealing with climate change finance in order to promote linkages and coherence.
Parties encouraged the Standing Committee on Finance to facilitate the participation of the private sector,
financial institutions and academia in the Forum. The COP also expressed that it looks forward to the
creation of the climate finance Forum which will enable all Parties and stakeholders to exchange ideas on
scaling up climate finance, etc. The Standing Committee on Finance will also report on the Forum in its
annual reports to the COP.
In order to fulfill the mandates provided by the COP, the Standing Committee on Finance calls on all
interested stakeholders to provide the committee with information related to climate finance.

reports and
publications,
videos, and or
links.

Call for inputs by observers and interested organizations
The SCF regularly invites inputs from interested stakeholders to support its work on the various issues
