National adaptation plans

The national adaptation plan (NAP) process was established under the Cancun Adaptation Framework (CAF). It enables Parties to formulate and implement national adaptation plans (NAPs) as a means of identifying medium- and long-term adaptation needs and developing and implementing strategies and programmes to address those needs. It is a continuous, progressive and iterative process which follows a country-driven, gender-sensitive, participatory and fully transparent approach.


 
 


 
 
Guidelines
Technical guidelines for the NAP process, prepared by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), and based on the initial guidelines adopted at COP18

An event to catalyse actions and support for the NAP process. Conducted by the LEG and supported by the secretariat in collaboration with relevant organizations

Guidelines, brochures, best practices and other publications relevant to LDC Parties and on adaptation at large

Access to data, information and knowledge on adaptation to all relevant stakeholders that are developing adaptation plans

NAPs submitted by developing countries as managed on NAP Central

Programmes developed by organizations and agencies to facilitate technical and financial support for the NAP process
