Media Training Workshop for developing country journalists

To coincide with UN Climate Change Talks in Lima, the UNFCCC Secretariat in collaboration with UNEP via its REGATTA programme and EUROCLIMA, a regional cooperation programme between the European Union and Latin America, is organizing a two-week media training workshop as a capacity-building initiative for developing country journalists.

The invited participants are journalists from Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean will be following the negotiations and writing media stories. The main topics covered at the media workshop include climate change science, mitigation, adaptation, technology, role of the markets, voluntary carbon offsets, funding climate action, and national action. The bulk of presentations are open to all media on site, subject to space limitations.
