Mandate

SBSTA 40 requested the secretariat to organize an in-session workshop on the identification and assessment of agricultural practices and technologies to enhance productivity in a sustainable manner, food security and resilience, considering the differences in agro-ecological zones and farming systems, such as different grassland and cropland practices and systems at SBSTA 44 and to prepare a report on the workshop for consideration at SBSTA 45.

Date and venue

The workshop was held on 23 May 2016, 1000 hrs-1300 hrs, at the venue of the Bonn Climate Change Conference.

Participation

The workshop was open to all Parties and admitted observer organizations attending the SBSTA 44 session.

Language

The working language of the workshop was English.
