Expert Group on non-economic losses
The Executive Committee established an Expert Group on non-economic losses to develop inputs and
recommendations to enhance data on and knowledge of reducing the risk of and addressing non-economic

As part of the awareness raising of the nature and extent of non-economic losses, the Executive
Committee organized a side event
during the 44th session of the subsidiary bodies. See more here>>

The campaign for raising awareness of the issues related to non-economic losses took place in the
lead up to the side event. It posed the question: “What do non-economic losses mean to
you?” and a total of 65 people participated, representing a wide range of stakeholders from
around the world (see images below).
