At its 8th plenary meeting on Friday 14 March, the ADP agreed to establish a contact group on ADP item 3. At the end of the plenary meeting, the second session of the ADP was suspended.

The ADP will resume its second session in conjunction with the fortieth sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 40) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 40), which will be held from 4-15 June 2014 in Bonn, Germany.
