Scope: The spreadsheet does not contain explanation with regard to application of formulae in the spreadsheet.
In accordance with VVS, version 9.0, para 402(c), the DOE shall determine whether the selected methodology was correctly applied with respect to Algorithms and/or formulae used to determine emission reductions. With regard to the emission reduction (ER) calculation, the following issue requires further clarification;

a) In the Monitoring Report (page 9) and the Verification Report (page 9), it is stated that EG (net electricity) is calculated as the difference between EGexp (export electricity) and EGimp (import electricity). However, in Column H of the ER spreadsheet, EG (net electricity) is calculated as the sum of EGexp (export electricity) and EGimp (import electricity). Please provide further clarification.

In addition, secretariat has observed the following issues and request the DOE to address these as well while addressing the above issue:

a. In Section G “Verification opinion” of VR, it says “’the implementation of the project has resulted in 31,827 tCO2e emission reductions”, which is not consistent with the certified emission reductions in Section H “Certification statement”.

b. In Section H “Verification opinion” of VR, wrong UNFCCC reference number (7374) is mentioned.

c. In page 3 of Validation report on PRCs, it says “KBS Certification Services Pvt. Ltd was appointed for verification for the second periodic verification of the project”. However, this is the first verification for the project activity.
